National Transport Authority Bus Maps

Pindar Creative is proud to be working with the National Transport Authority (NTA) of Ireland to produce redesigned public transport network maps and timetable publications.

These updated designs aim to communicate key information about the existing network, upcoming changes, new routes, and service improvements — helping public transport users stay informed as updates occur.

The first of the new maps — for Waterford City — is now available on the Transport for Ireland website. Both English and Irish versions are provided as accessible PDFs (see the English version below).

The new design makes it easier for users to:

• Understand the layout of the network,
• Identify onward connections to national bus and rail services,
• Locate key destinations and points of interest along the route.

For major urban areas, we are also producing geographic maps to complement the schematic network designs. The first of these for Cork will be released later this year.

In addition to citywide maps, the series will include:

• Town maps,
• Local area maps, and
• Hub maps for key interchanges, hospitals, and universities.

These comprehensive resources are part of a broader effort to improve the clarity and usability of Ireland’s public transport information.
