Pindar Creative, a leading expert in promoting active and sustainable travel, has worked with the London Borough of Barnet to produce a detailed map supporting the School Streets scheme at St Agnes' RC Primary School.

School Streets are designed to create a safer, healthier environment for children by restricting traffic outside schools during drop-off and pick-up times. The new map clearly illustrates which streets are closed and when, alongside 5- and 10-minute walking zones, encouraging families to adopt more sustainable travel habits.

To ensure the scheme remains front of mind for parents and pupils, the map was printed as a large-format banner displayed on the school railings as a daily reminder. A digital PDF version was also provided, adhering to the 2018 Accessibility Guidelines, ensuring inclusivity for all users.

This initiative aligns with Barnet Council's active travel strategy, which aims to reduce congestion, improve air quality, and encourage walking, cycling, and public transport use for everyday journeys. The leaflet provides practical advice, including details of Barnet's free cycle training for families and tips for reducing car usage around schools.
