Workflow software developed by Pindar Creative nominated for Innovation Award.

Pindar Creative have assisted Halstan in workflow development for one of the customers and have been nominated for an Innovation Excellence Award in the 'Book, Magazine and Digital Publishing' category which is held by The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers.

Halstan have been shortlisted for an innovation award for the print-on-demand workflow solution that was designed and built by Pindar Creative for one of their customers - EAL.

EAL is an educational provider who writes courses and qualifications for a wide range of professions in the engineering, manufacturing, science and technology sectors. These courses are taught in colleges all over the UK and every year over 20,000 students participate in these courses. Halstan provide the printed course material for all of their students by printing orders received daily and delivering to them within 48 hours of those orders being placed.

This solution stores the files for every course module in a virtual library and is able to select and collate all modules ordered by the student, then add a personalised front cover (including their name and a contents page) and queue the work straight to our digital printing presses. In addition the solution is fully integrated with UPS meaning shipping labels are printed at the same time. UPS come daily to collect the printed orders.

Being shortlisted for this award is a testament to the innovative thinking that we are able to bring to clients and the customised solutions that we are now able to build for them.
